“Gestalt Therapy became my passion and eventually my way of life."
- Yana Shevkhod, MFT
Maybe you already know why you shut down, give in, snap, or hold things in. You’ve tried therapy, read the books, maybe even practiced mindfulness.
You know the pattern…
…but you still keep repeating it.
Whether it happens with your partner, your parents, your children, or yourself, knowing why you do it is only part of it. Real change happens when you can catch the pattern as it’s happening and do something different.
A Grounded, Relational Approach Built on Genuine Human Connection and 30 Years of Experience.
There's no pressure to commit. Just an honest conversation to see if this feels like the right next step.
What Becomes Possible
-
Trust yourself in moments that used to overwhelm you, say what you really mean, and feel more at ease being yourself.
-
Notice your old patterns sooner, make a different choice, and start responding in ways that feel more like you.
-
Feel closer in your relationships as you understand yourself, speak more honestly, and stop repeating what keeps you stuck.
-
Take this time for yourself to slow down, understand what you need, and make changes that feel right for you.
You’re Tired of Living the Same Patterns
› You keep having the same arguments, falling into the same roles, or ending up in the same kinds of relationships, and you are tired of wondering why.
› You don't want another place to analyze your life. You want to finally feel more connected to it.
› You want to parent with more patience and connection instead of reacting in ways you later regret.
› You promised yourself you'd respond differently this time, but old reactions and feelings still seem to take over.
› You want to feel closer to your partner, communicate without losing yourself, repair after conflict, and finally stop living through the same cycles.
› You're tired of feeling disconnected from yourself and the people you love. Deep down, you know life can feel more connected, more alive, and more like your own.
Because you don’t need more insight or fixes. You need to finally change the patterns that keep pulling you back.
You've probably spent a lot of time making sense of your past, your relationships, and why you react the way you do.
Understanding your patterns is one thing. Becoming aware of them in the moment is what gives you the freedom to choose something different.
Grounded in Gestalt therapy, including parts work and thoughtfully integrating a relational approach, we will pay attention to your felt sense experience. Your body, emotions, sensations, intuition, and knowing will be illuminated as we listen closely, so you can create more awareness, connection, and choice.
Here, every part of you is welcome. Because being deeply witnessed in a genuine therapeutic relationship isn't just comforting. It's one of the ways healing begins.
A deeper connection to yourself and your relationships.

FAQs
-
Many people I work with are either new to therapy or have been to therapy before. This therapy isn't traditional talk therapy that tends to focus heavily on discussing your past experiences and staying in the past. In Gestalt therapy, we pay close attention to your present moment experience as we work through the difficult material or unfinished business that surfaces. I'll help you notice your patterns and reactions in real time, giving you more freedom and tools to respond differently and become more fully who you are.
-
Absolutely. You don't need any experience. I'll guide you through the process, and we'll move at a pace that feels supportive, collaborative, and grounded.
-
No. Therapy with me is active, relational, and collaborative. I'll ask thoughtful questions, share what I'm noticing, gently challenge old patterns, and invite you to pay attention to what's happening in the moment, because that's often where the most meaningful change begins.

Couples therapy can be a great support for all relationships. Many couples come to therapy because they feel disconnected, stuck in the same cycles, or as though they've slowly drifted apart. You don't have to be in crisis to benefit. In fact, coming in early will help you identify the difficult dynamic that keeps playing out, thereby learning how to communicate through those moments and feel better seen and heard by each other. Therapy can help you reconnect before distance becomes resentment.
